September, 2006 -- Axis Photonique is very proud to announce that Mr. Marcel Bouvier has joined the corporation as Senior Scientist in charge of the electro-optics division. He brings over 20 years of experience in ultrafast technology. Prior to joining Axis Photonique, he worked at Intralase Corp. (California, USA) where he contributed to the design and development of electronic hardware and control systems of the Intralase Pulsion Femtosecond Ophthalmic Laser System, with emphasis on ultra-fast HV switching techniques and system wide controls. Mr. Bouvier is also the founder of the well-known MEDOX Electro-Optics Inc. (Michigan, USA) in which he acted as president and chief engineer for 13 years. He created the MEDOX Pockels Cell System, by successfully transferring technology and patent awarded for academic research efforts. Today, more than 500 MEDOX units are in use worldwide. Mr. Bouvier holds 3 patents and is the co-author of 11 scientific and technical papers on femtosecond laser technology, Pockels cell drivers and streak cameras. |
